Charlotte&Nadine: 2009

Hello everybody,
No pictures this time but for a change some words. Time for some updates and anecdotes...

First of all:

* I now don't wear nappies any longer during the day! And when I have a nap, I sometimes stay dry as well! Mum is so proud of me!!!

* I have a brand new bycycle which I love very much and even want to take to bed with me! It has no pedals and is designed to teach me to find a balance straight away! Not easy, but I loooooove riding it and hope that soon, I will reach speeds like those of Eddy Merckx. Antwerp roads will no longer be safe for pedestrians...

* Once again changed from a childminder to a nursery... Yippie, jah, Yee. Rachida had to close down unexpectedly so there we stood. Mum had to take a week off work to try and find different child care for me for the next 2 months and guess what?! She found a fantabulous nursery, just around the corner from her work and I love going there! We play with water every day when it is hot outside and I have lots of little friends already! Just done my first week there and didn't even cry once. And today, on my fifth day there, I felt so comfortable that I felt confident enough to show them my true colours... yep, poor nursery nurses! She seemed quite shocked as I had been soooooooooo good the first 4 days. Hahaha! I am a very big "kapoentje"!!!

* I now take showers instead of a bath and I have so much fun together in the shower with mum! Another step towards growing up and at least, I have my toybox back as mum used it as a bath for me seen as we only have a shower!

* Mum and I are planning to visit Portsmouth towards the end of the summer. Looking forwards to see all our friends there again! If we ever get there, that is.

* The street we live in here in Antwerp is very mega cool and we all stick our heads together to organise lots of activities this summer. Everybody is welcome! Tomorrow, 4th July, we have our street BBQ with veggie stuff too. On 21, 22, 23rd August we close down the street for some activities for the kids. The street will become a "children's paradise". On top of all this, the whole neigbourhood is working together to organise a huuuuugeeeeee event on 31st july, 1st and 2nd august with a merry go round, lots of concerts, sand pit for the kids, open air movie, car boot sale, bouncy castle, open air party, swimming pool, trampoline,..... you name it, we organised it! So be there or be ... fun is guaranteed!

* the story about the toilet seat on my head... ah well, it will have to wait till next time as mum is now tired and going to bed. Night night.
